Pictures from today morning when I finally broke out of my awkward Manhattan-makes-me-crazy-tired phase and slapped on a happy brunch face, which is always blogger-appropriate. In other news, I have been attending engagement parties (party,) perusing halfheartedly through hordes of clothing at shiny stores, and overhearing the conversations of simpleminded high school boys in the subway, making pacts to dangle on the back of a train before they graduate.

Apart from indulging in Freaks and Geeks, I've been taking ridiculously long showers (the kind that make my skin a sickly raw pink,) and stressing over econ, (which in retrospect, this time next year, will be much easier to reflect on with a nonchalant, "Well, hey, we survived!") That is, if things go as planned. I think the shots below are pretty self-explanatory. Just fyi, my current state of affairs is a lot less drifting around with bubble tea and a lot more microwavable chicken biryani before I quickly run back to my room. Just sayin' ya know.

Today morning taking a break from psychology. My roommate says she's had enough of the birds-eye-view which I thought was a little unwarranted until I took another look at my instagram account (for the umpteenth time.)
In this photo: An old issue of UO, the Nexus 4, and a pair of Zara Trafalucs from seasons past.

So most recently nominalism and Ian Hacking have made an impression on me. I should think that I need not say more because I am a college student and it's become apparent that we can get away with all shades of notorious ambiguity. On that note, below is the edit of a shot I thought really captured the high-strung 19 in me. Oh how I wish I could pull a Margaret.

A post dedicated to the last week or so of summer before I go back to being a full-time student with part-time jobs, and hopefully a no-time thing on ig because I've seriously got. to. stop. instagramming. I'm thinking about a social media cleanse, funny I should mention it on my blog, hah, but anyhow, we'll see. There's a chance I might increase that ol' productivity of mine, but who knows, when you're almost 20 and still spending a good belly-aching minute or two laughing about how ridiculous your J. Lafferty fantasies are, prospects are, at best, dim.

Most days I am really very down to earth. But today, I am in that studio apartment of mine smelling those newly varnished wooden floorboards, putting pen to booklets full of Nepali paper, and sipping on cow milk. First thing I'm going to do when I finally get that apartment and the cha-ching that backs it up? Go MIA and seriously build on investing myself in the place. Emoticons and the whole lot. Not very original, I know, but I'm being as honest as I know how.

One flooded neighbourhood, two unsettling dentist's appointments, and three one tree hill episodes later here I am, where I always seem to end up, on blogger, which for now is competing with several other tabs, one of which open up to a pair of top notch asos denims. Needless to say, as long as I've got J-Hutch videos to my left and Ally Condie e-books to my right, I'll be a-okay.
Left: birdseye shot of the desk at home Right: best Korean food in town.
Left: Apple crumble and home made vanilla ice cream at a cafe Right: meet mother dearest :)

When we were young, me and my sister would delight ourselves with blanket forts in the (surprisingly) large balcony of our small apartment, thrilled to have a space of our own even if that meant shaky bedsheet pillars and the occasional (
frequent) territory spat. Trust the adolescent to get up to no good eh? Below is the material testament to our new and more refined pursuits: namely, wardrobe tetris. Ohh adulthood...
